I offered up the opportunity for a Q & A last week, and here are my answers!

Nina (CAN), instagram: How do you overcome your challenges that you've faced so far in this exchange? I talk to my friends and family at home and remember where the bulk of my support comes from, going to them when I need that support. I write in a notebook Matt gave me every night and look forward to writing something about the day and seeing what note he left me for that day. I also make sure to reach out to the friends I've made here when I need a distraction or some company. :)

What inspired you to study abroad in the first place? I've always loved traveling and saw the experience as a win-win. I get to travel and leave the country (for my first time) while continuing my education. I've known people that have studied abroad and have heard the same recurring message which I've started to preach, which is to absolutely go for it.

Who's your favorite - Nina or Daniel? I love you both! Nina is my favorite to play tennis and watch Rick and Morty with, and Daniel is my favorite to go rock climbing with!!!

Em (AUS), instagram: What has surprised you most about Australia? How different it is from America, and how kind and laid back the culture is. I didn't expect it to be so different from home, considering how similar the two countries look from the outside but there are so many differences in the nuances. I also knew that ozzies were laid back before coming, but I didn't realize just how prevalent that was in the culture. It's started to rub off on me and make me chill too!

What are you most looking forward to about the rest of your trip? I'm most looking forward to my cousin Rachel coming out to visit, so I can show her around the place I've come to call home in the last two months and get to explore some more with her. Plus she'll be coming straight from Greece, and I can't wait to hear all about it!

How much are you going to miss Hungry Jacks on a scale of 1 to 10? Absolutely a 10. Burger King is trash but somehow Hungry Jacks is better than McDonalds. Nothing can beat the $2 penny pincher cheesy cheeseburger with queso!

Mickey (USA), Facebook: Can you confirm that the toilet swirls in the other direction? According to Google it is difficult to observe the Coriolis effect in small scale situations like a toilet flushing, and our toilet doesn't really give the water an opportunity to swirl before going down. Regardless I took a video for you!

Nick (USA), Facebook: Have you met a Quokka yet? I have not, and I'm not sure I will :(

PJ (USA), Facebook: What's your class schedule like? I only have class on Monday (10-11), Tuesday (2-3), and Friday (2-4). I'm also taking an online class that takes up some time.

Is the food good? Yes! It is much less sugary than food in the United States, and tastes fresher. Even things like Cheetos, Doritos, and Cheerios taste less sugary and processed which is ridiculous considering it's the exact same brand.

Alex (USA), Facebook: Has any creature tried to kill you yet? I try not to even give creatures the chance to, killing them regardless of size. Or more accurately, asking people to kill them for me because I'm a weenie. :(

Thanks all!

Love you Lawns. Your personality comes through so strongly in your blog. Can't wait to continue reading your blogs and hearing about R-Killa Thrilla's visit.
