Two days from now I will be in the air, en route to the Denver Airport! It is absolutely wild how fast the last two months have gone. During the last two months the Iowa State football team (and marching band!) went to the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Matt and I flew to Utah to visit Matt's brother and ski, I turned 20, and I worked. Pretty eventful! We had a bon voyage get together last night as a last chance to see friends and family before leaving, and while it was really great to see everyone I felt out of it as it really started to hit me that I will not be living here for the next four months. That being said I am still very excited! It was just surreal saying goodbye to people I see on a daily or weekly basis. Matt came down for dinner Saturday night, and I will admit I was very weepy after saying goodbye to him! Like I keep mentioning, however, I am still very excited to go and leave the country (for the first time) to explore another. Over the next two days I will finish packing and make sure everything is in place before Wednesday morning.
For those of you who want to keep in contact while I'm abroad, this website will be the best way to follow my adventures and pictures. I will be able to text while abroad, but calling will need to be over FaceTime or WhatsApp. I will do my best to continue updating this website with pictures and videos, so make sure to keep checking Facebook or subscribe!
